Satadri Chanda joined Megatherm in 2016 as an Executive Director. Prior to that he completed his Masters degree in engineering from Virginia Tech, USA and spent 3 years as a strategy consultant in KPMGs Management Consulting Division

Abstract: Forged by the challenges facing the secondary steel sector and launched in late 2017 the Green Furnace has taken the global market by storm. With orders nearing 9 MTPA annual capacity in a matter of months Megatherm plans to save $60 million in energy costs per year for Green furnace users and $750 – $800 million over the next 5 years.

Secondary steel heavyweights all over the world such as Mughal Steel, Prakash Industries, Shyam Sel, B D Goyal Group, Bajrang Group, Sharda Energy, PT Shiva Shakti, Jogindra & Oasis Group, Shyam Steel, Real Ispat, Nandan Group, MSP, Gagan, BMA, Madhav Alloys, Kamachi, JR Metal Group, Jai Raj Ispat, Devasree, Radha Smelters, Bandar Steel, Bikrampur Steel, Salaam Steel and many others in India, Pakistan, Africa, Gulf, South East Asia and Bangladesh are upgrading to Green.
